Bethany reached out to me to design a series of five book covers for both Kindle eBooks and paperback formats. The genre was Wholesome Romance, and the covers needed to convey a heartfelt, sophisticated aesthetic without using cartoonish designs. The series included titles like My Cowboy, My Pianist, My Surfer, My Driving Instructor, and My Coworker — all authored by Emily Hill.

Process & Approach:
For this project, I chose a color scheme of dark blue and green to create a modern and calming vibe, suitable for the romance genre. In terms of typography, I used a distinctive script for the word “My,” with a slanted, flowing look to make it eye-catching.
For the other text, I opted for bold block letters, adding contrast and impact. The design for each cover was carefully crafted to reflect the essence of the respective story, ensuring it would resonate with readers and stand out in both digital and print formats.
Final Outcome:
The final covers were cohesive yet unique for each title, with a consistent typography and color approach that unified the series. These designs helped the books gain attention across various platforms, successfully appealing to the target audience for wholesome romance novels.
